The goal of Research is to extend knowledge and understanding of critical issue areas in post-secondary technical education, both internal and external to Georgia. This is done through identification and analysis of trends, best practices, joint studies with other post-secondary institutions, and immediate and long-range topics of concern, to cite but a few areas. Research is also responsible for collecting, validating and reporting information from the 34 Georgia technical education colleges to federal and national professional organizations.
Research, through its information services, facilitates information sharing and informs decision making by interested parties both internal and external to TCSG. These may include Central Office and staff of the 34 colleges, media, legislators, the Office of Planning
